Term Definition
Block (on a plan of subdivision) A surveyed piece of land laid out by a plan of subdivision
Broken Front A surveyed piece of land creating geographic fabric within a township, usually abutting a river or lake
Concession A surveyed geographic which creates geographic fabric within a township
Condominium A Plan creating units for each level of a condominium
Document A parcel register, property index or any of the instruments registered on them.
Geographic Description This can be found on your title deed, property tax notice, or other land document. The geographic description generally contains a combination of Lot and Plan, Lot and Concession, township or municipality, unit and level, and Condominium Plan or Parcel and Section, (e.g. Lot 10, Plan 340, Town of Peel; or Lot 10, Concession 7, Peel Township; or Unit 1 Level 5 Condominium Plan 100).
Gore A surveyed piece of land, usually triangular, created as geographic fabric within a township
Gore Lot A surveyed piece of land, usually triangular, created as geographic fabric within a township and assigned a lot number
Lane (on a plan of subdivision) A surveyed piece of land laid out by a plan of subdivisions
Lot (Concession or Plan of Subdivision) An area of land defined and designated as a lot by an original survey or by a registered plan
Park Lot An area of land defined and designated as a park lot by an original survey
Plan of Subdivision A surveyed area of land which may create new lots, blocks, widenings, and streets registered as a plan of subdivision
Reserve (on a plan of subdivision) A surveyed piece of land laid out by a plan of subdivision
Road Allowance Road laid out during survey of a township usually between concession lots
Sections A land titles filing system.  Parcel and Section have been assigned to each non-automated Land Titles ownership
Street (on a plan of subdivision) A surveyed street on a plan of subdivision
Tile One of the four squares on the Search screen containing the search categories
Widening (on a plan of subdivision) A surveyed piece of land laid out by a plan of subdivision which will serve as a widening for a road
