Concession | A surveyed geographic which creates geographic fabric within a township |
Condominium | A Plan creating units for each level of a condominium |
Document | A parcel register, property index or any of the instruments registered on them |
Donor (Power of Attorney) | The person who granted a power of attorney |
ELRSA Fee | Fees incurred under the authority of the Electronic Land Registration Services Act |
Enforcement Office | The Enforcement Office is a branch of the Superior Court of Justice, providing services to help parties enforce orders and assist courts and crown attorneys to serve specific documentation. It is responsible for more than the enforcement of monetary orders that originate from various courts. Various levels of government look to the enforcement office to help them collect debt under the authority of their own legislation

Execution Number | A unique identifier to refer to a formal order of the court to enforce court orders and judgments |
Evidence | Documentation filed in a Land Registry Office in support of a registered title document before its registration. Evidence is given a number that is referenced in the document (e.g. a death certificate may be filed as evidence in support of a Survivorship Application document) |
Geographic Description | This can be found on your title deed, property tax notice, or other land document. The geographic description generally contains a combination of Lot and Plan, Lot and Concession, township or municipality, unit and level, and Condominium Plan or Parcel and Section, (e.g. Lot 10, Plan 340, Town of Peel; or Lot 10, Concession 7, Peel Township; or Unit 1 Level 5 Condominium Plan 100) |
Gore | A surveyed piece of land, usually triangular, created as geographic fabric within a township |
Gore Lot | A surveyed piece of land, usually triangular, created as geographic fabric within a township and assigned a lot number |
Historical Book | Historical books, previously only available for consultation at a Land Registry Office (LRO), contain the original paper property records registered prior to the introduction of Ontario’s electronic land registration system |
Lane (on a plan of subdivision) | A surveyed piece of land laid out by a plan of subdivisions |
Lot (Concession or Plan of Subdivision) | An area of land defined and designated as a lot by an original survey or by a registered plan |
Park Lot | An area of land defined and designated as a park lot by an original survey |
PIN | The Property Information Number is a unique nine-digit number assigned to each property, consisting of a five-digit block number and a four-digit property number |
Plan of Subdivision | A surveyed area of land which may create new lots, blocks, widenings, and streets registered as a plan of subdivision |
Power of Attorney | A written authorization to represent or act on another’s behalf in private affairs, business, or other legal matter. The person authorizing the other to act is the principal, grantor, or donor (of the power). The person authorized to act is the attorney, grantee or donee |
Reserve (on a plan of subdivision) | A surveyed piece of land laid out by a plan of subdivision |
Retake | Retakes are rescanned pages of documents that were not viewable in the initial scanned version of the document. These pages must be searched and viewed separately from the document itself |
Revocation (Power of Attorney) | A legal document signed by the donor, confirming that the donor is revoking the powers given to another person (the attorney) in an earlier power of attorney |
Road Allowance | Road laid out during survey of a township usually between concession lots |
Sections | A land titles filing system. Parcel and Section have been assigned to each non-automated Land Titles ownership |
Standard Charge Terms | All the terms and conditions regarding borrowing and repaying money when real property is used as collateral. These are filed with the Office of the Director of Titles and given a number which may be referenced in a Charge (Mortgage) document |
Street (on a plan of subdivision) | A surveyed street on a plan of subdivision |
Statutory Fees | Those fees payable under the various Land Registration statutes |
Subdivision and Reference Plan Indices | These indices are lists of the registration particulars for deposited reference plans and registered subdivision plans |
